5/17/20 Rewatching The Matrix Trilogy With Javalina?

This must be some sort of Keanu Reeves weekend or something.  We turned the TV on and Constantine was playing, followed by John Wick and then we went to watch Netflix and ended up watching Destination Wedding which was not really good, but we stuck with it because we are big fans of his.  At one point, I think a commercial played for Matrix and Javalina said he still didn't know what all the hoopla was for because he hadn't seen it yet.  I thought we had sat and watched it like 6 months ago, but I guess not.
He is a real character, with a running dialogue throughout the whole movie.  He is commenting on this, complaining about that.  Boy would just sit and take in the movie, but Javalina has to comment on everything he doesn't agree with.  He immediately did not like Agent Smith saying he looked a  little too rapey, which is a term we have been using around the house for being overly aggressive.  He was creeped out by how they just appear by taking over anyone's body in the movie.
He loved the idea of just downloading how to learn kung-fu or how to fly a helicopter, but then he did not like that the agents could avoid bullets.  It was funny, when Neo and Trinity go to save Morpheus and Neo has the helicopter rope, Javalina actually got up from the sofa and started with the "no, he is not going to hold that helicopter against the building and not get pulled over, that is bullshit..."
The biggest problem for my son at the end was when Neo gets shot at the end and is supposed to be dead.  He got pissed that "love" brought him back to life.  I just accepted that he realized that he is not real in the matrix, so he cannot be dead, Javalina was mad that just because he was kissed and loved in the real world does not mean his avatar should have jumped back up.
He was really impressed with the fight scenes, I still think the ghost twin brothers were specially creepy and good.  The whole thing with the doors was creative and I like that idea which was now used in the movie Locke and Key we saw awhile ago.
I thought Xion was a little lame, considering they were supposed to be so much more in the future and the humans were living like primitive people in caves next to smoldering red hot lava openings.  They were also fixing to get terminated by a quarter million sentinels and the best advice they are given is to party like it's 1999.  It looks pretty much like a clothing optional orgy with everyone sweating on each other and dancing until your legs gave out.
Oh yeah, Javalina did find it a lot more acceptable that Neo stuck his avatar hand in Trinity and revived her in the matrix since both him and her body are not real, so it could totally happen.
