9/10/15 Back To Work? (poem)

There was an old woman who had by choice retired
but soon found her patience had expired
her cranky old spouse was daily inspired
to go to the casinos where his money was desired.
A new principal in town did much admire
the old lady whom he quickly would hire.
Waiting on the school board council to declare
yes, your knowledge and skills you may share.
Off to the mall to buy some new things to wear
I am a professional and good new clothes show I care.
Babysitting of the grandchildren done for now
Grandma is in the system, keeping an eye she did vow.
A thought to wonder, what will hubby do all day?
Will he finally get his way and just play play play?
I say put the old fart to work, make him drive a bus,
wouldn't last too long, once the kids start to hear him cuss.
Work and socializing are good for the soul
moving around might even keep your body whole.
I am glad you are facing this new challenge today
I really hope it's not just for the pay.
A bit of old school knowledge, might help these new leaders of today
After all, this old lady did mold me out of clay
and as far as I can tell I turned out OK.

Love you, Mom.  Good Luck!!
