4/30/19 We All Get Sick?

I hated to admit it, but I got sick.  It always seems to happen to me in the spring after the worst of the winter (not that we've had winters here lately) season and we start seeing more and more 80+ degree days.  I got up this morning to take Javalina to school, and it was fine except when I swallowed my saliva.  It was feeling like something is swollen back there.  I came back home and after playing on the computer for an hour, I went to bed about 9:00am.  I caught maybe 5-10 minutes of some porn fun, but fell asleep with that computer on.
I woke up for the first of my pee breaks and was soaked with snot from my nose.  I cleaned it up, and even had to start on a new roll of toilet paper near the bed as my nose seems to always be runny.  I also figured it was time to turn off the adult entertainment   We agreed on since I was already asleep.  I never got up feeling rested, instead, I got up to get Javalina wondering how I was going to go get him andstay awake in the process.  Girlie also needed a lift, so I went and got her.  Wife was headed home and we talked and decided that if we met on I-35 it would work better to give her time to reach us.
Our first choice was Poke Joe's, but that is on Ben White and too far away for Wife to make it, specially if she just got out around 4:30pm.  We then said Zaxby's which is always a good alternative but she suggested Chicken Express, one of Javalina's favorites an he had been pissy because we told him we'd go during the weekend and we never made it over there through the weekend.  He said that was a better choice as soon as he heard the option.  Even though she was coming from San Antonio and we were in town, we got there at almost the exact same time.  We parked side by side and walked in together.
Once inside, I told Wife what I wanted and went to sit.  I just didn't have the energy to stand and talk to the cashier girl.  Wife looked at me and said I looked like crap.  She said my eyes were sunken and looked like I had rings around my eyes.  I felt ok except when I go through a sneezing fit, then I can feel my throat being sore and my sinuses in my face full of snot and just some general weakness to my body.  I know that five years ago I would have powered through and just gone to work, but nowadays I just find it harder to rally.  I called my boss and he said not to worry about the work if I didn't feel good.  To ease my guilt, I also talked to my trainer and she said there were a couple of "hot" jobs, but there are always a couple of hot jobs, just stay home if you don't feel right.
I went home with Wife and Javalina, took a shower and laid down while Wife sat in the room and watched a show.  Before I knew it, I woke at 8:30pm and went down for some water.  I then sat on the table to write this and decided it was a good idea to stay home and take it easy.  I always feel guilty when I stay home on a work night, but after 20 plus years, they should know I don't take advantage of my personal time off and I am only out when I take vacation or really feel sick.
