There is nothing I hate more than bullshit. Man, Wife called and told me a doozy just a while ago, after slaving away until almost 10:00pm, for the kids, at a school "Jamaica" (fair). They were sitting there counting the money from the various fair activities and someone knocked with a lot of authority. She said she went to check who it was, being careful as they had something like $12,000 or so, I am not sure if from the fair or just cash in general, but still. Nobody was there, then a couple minutes later another heavy knock and this time the guy yelled "open up, this is a Texas Ranger." Wife did not recognize the voice, but one of the other ladies said she knew who it was, so she opened the door.
If you can believe this, he said he was there because they got a call that there was gambling on school premises. A parent (Miss Goody Two Shoes, I presume) called to notify the FUCKING TEXAS RANGERS of some gambling going on to raise money for the kids. I thought these guys took down drug cartels and caught fugitives from the law, not fine my chubby ass wife for selling tickets to a cake walk, fuck, where are we as a freaking society?!
I am sure this fine professional left and went to the gas station down the road and bought a "scratcher" which is perfectly legal because who gets the money, that's right, the gov't. He also bought a lotto with his favorite numbers because he is destined to win $180 million dollars on the next Power Ball. He then checked on his Mommy who he takes every Tuesday night to play Bingo at church. Of course, during football season, he has to be in on the pots for the games on Sunday, why else watch NFL football? When it comes to vacations, he heads to his favorite place, Las Vegas, to play a little craps and Texas Hold 'em. Plus, once a month he heads to the Kickapoo in Eagle Pass to gamble the night away.
I know we are at a moment in time where everything stupid is caused by the liberals, but don't forget you thick skulled conservatives holding on to your values have made this topsy turvy world where gambling is allowed, so long as the gov't gets to play house and collect the most at the end of the day. And Las Vegas is part of the USA, right? Why the special rules? Or if you can gather a couple of Indians, you can legally have a casino with all sorts of gambling at their discretion? This is what the white man calls reparations for stealing the land from underneath them?
Gambling doesn't bother me, the hypocrisy of saying this kind is ok, but that kind isn't does. It's like alcohol, no debate it kills more people than even guns sitting in night stands minding their own business, but that drug is A-OK. Yet we are still dragging our feet on marijuana, again, I have never partaken, but to each their own. It doesn't kill you, while alcohol might, yet, I could go to Walmart right now and buy some alcohol, no problem. Why? There is good money in its taxation.
