3/28/20 Dave? (TV show)

This has to be my new favorite show on TV.  The show is based on Dave Burd, who goes by Lil Dicky on his You tube videos.  The timeline is probably a few years before he starts taking off and getting famous.  He has made a video or two, and the videos show he has skills, but for as much skill as he has, he is also very neurotic and from his constant conversations, obsessed with his small penis.  He claims his small penis is from a couple of botched surgeries when he was a baby, but the weird part is he freely discusses it with everyone from strangers to his parents.
Aside from his penis, there is a girlfriend that is way too attractive for him, a couple of black guys that like him, are almost in the business (of being rappers), but not quite.  The guy that mixes the music for him is also very talented but has not had a big hit to define him, and then there is "Gata" who used to run with a couple of other rap groups but got kicked off the groups and then found out he was bipolar.  He was a hype man, but he would get so amped up and fired up that he couldn't bring himself down after the show, we saw in the last episode.  He ends up having to take medicine to control himself, so after losing two good jobs to this, he decides to medicate himself before performing with Lil Dicky and of course, the hype man is sitting on the sofa almost comatose.  Right as they are all on the verge of fighting and falling apart, Gata tells them he is bipolar and they end up opening up and pretty much saying how much love and respect they have for each other, totally not what you expect from a rap group.  They are all decent people trying to do the right thing and they all believe in Lil Dicky to become as good as he thinks he is.
Honestly, I was expecting every week to showcase a song from youtube and make a show around it, or something like that, but he has only rapped in the first episode.  He was taunted by some bigger rappers with a "shit or get off the pot" and he goes on for a few minutes.  The second episode has him getting ready to do a show for a kid from the elementary school that the girlfriend works at, but the kid died.  His parents come up to him and beg him to sing a song at his memorial, so he spends the episode trying to come up with something clever to say about a 10 year old he never met.  The third episode is the one where he is obsessed with his penis and we see him making the room dark and everything perfect so the GF doesn't see him nude directly.
Most episodes have that feel good feeling at the end of "just be yourself, if the people around you do love you, they will accept you, no matter what."  I think it is a funny clever show that fits in with today's climate.  Even the characters are constantly checking their phones like we do in real life.
