6/23/18 Maybe Trump Is What We Need And Deserve?

I was not a fan of our current president.  In this country we have a right to vote and there should be no punishment for our opinions whether for or against.  I spent the better part of the first year waiting for an impeachment mostly on the thought that most Americans had a caring heart for the small man.  It turns out we are in a weird new world where we have agreed we do not care unless you can prove you were born with a "'Merica Mother Fucker" tattooed somewhere on your body.  Sometimes even that isn't going to be good enough, sorry, Mr. Obama.
I was honestly shocked at the overwhelming amount of people who can look at the undocumented Mexican kids being separated from their parents and the best most of the people I talk to can manage is a half effort shrug of the shoulders and an indifferent "they're not Americans."  I am still confused because none of us are natural Americans except the few remaining Indians.  We all came over at one time or another from all directions, that the white man takes the land from the Indians and then sets and defines rules on who may enter "legally" is genius.  As the great John Wayne said "I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from them.  There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves."  Great humanitarian.
Somehow, Trump makes it seem like this is a problem he can clean up and signs some sort of executive order.  Thank you, Hero.  It was also very interesting how after spending a year making fun of "Little Rocket Man", he actually met with Kim Jung-un.  It is exciting that he is the first American President to meet with the dictator or leader from that country.  The talks seemed to conclude with North Korea saying they were going to curb their nuclear efforts, but of course there is quick word that they are not keeping their word.
I am not sure anymore if he is a madman running the country as I feared a year ago or if there is a methodology we don't understand.  He might just be the right personality for the times.  I don't think people really hate foreigners, but the idea of them coming with drugs and/or potentially sneaking in to harm us with IED's is enough to hate any brown colored person trying to sneak in, why take chances that they are just here to make a better life for them and their families.  Build the wall!  Build the wall!
