6/10/18 Time Traveling In Super Hero Movies?

I guess this has been going on for a long time with super heroes, it seems easy when you draw a cartoon to envision a world where jumping time is relatively easy.  I say time can only move forward, I find it hard to believe we could change that constant and perhaps make it stop or even run in reverse.  Even the late Christopher Reeve managed to save Lois Lane by spinning around the world in an opposite direction to make the earth spin in reverse, this gave Superman just enough time to come in and save her from some earthquake, as I recall.
In the last Infinity War with all the Marvel Heroes, we see stupid Dr. Strange decide he won't destroy his infinity stone, only to pretty much wrap it with a bow and give it to the bad guy in exchange for Iron Man.  They didn't really know each other, even if they should have, I didn't get why he would have done this.  This of course sets the stage for Thanos's interaction with Vision who has spent about half the movie trying to remove the stone from his forehead to destroy it without dying, doing it, but then just like a brute, Thanos scoots back in time long enough, grabs Vision and rips it from his head, that was cheating, to me and three-four weeks later, I am still pissed about it.  Funny how so many were evaporated, but all the main Avengers remained.  You just know they have to figure out a way to bring back Spiderman, good looking white kid?  Of course.  Wakanda, I don't know, a bunch of black warrior people?  Hmmm.  The whole thing falls apart, fuck that, if you can bring back one, you can bring back all of them, all the way back to Gamora.  You assholes painted yourself into a corner, otherwise Star-Lord has to become a brooding mess and that franchise is making you millions of dollars, stupids!!
In Deadpool, Cable shows up from the future and of course after the movie, Javalina wanted to discuss this as he didn't agree with some things.  His take was that if Deadpool goes back in time and kills the bad guy and his girlfriend never dies, he doesn't get to save the kid from Cable because they have no reason to meet.  My thought is that he had to go through all that pain and part of the story, or he would have never gotten his hands on the time device, so the girlfriend did have to die, he has to go on the journey the movie took him through and then if he got ahold of a time changing device, he can go back before the girlfriend gets killed, save her and just like the rails of a train track, you just keep going forward from that point in your timeline.  Deadpool would have the memory of meeting and fighting Cable and becoming friends with him, but the girlfriend would not as she didn't exist for that loop of time.  The train track then did a loop and connected with the original track and picked up the girlfriend, that makes sense to me.
That is not exactly as Cable did it because he went back in time after his family was dead to change the past and upon changing Firefist into a good guy, we see the teddy bear go from bloodied and burned to just a regular teddy bear, indicating the family was never killed and burned.  I almost confuse myself in this thinking, I am sure these are not exactly the same ways in which these two went about saving their loved one's lives.  If, like Deapool, he goes back in time to kill Firefist, he had to see them dead before jumping time.  That already exists, making Firefist a good guy doesn't change what he did on another time line, he is just going on the good guy timeline now, but there is an old one which he was bad.  I guess this is why people shouldn't fuck with time travel, it still bothers me, and it is confusing to discuss.
