11/5/17 Listening To A Trumpeteer?

I finally shut off my logical brain long enough to listen to what seem insane reasons to support Donald Trump.  Monster Energy Drink loves arguing with me as he seems to hold me as some liberal bastion who will support whatever comes out of the left's mouth.  I have quietly been sliding over to the right, in some regards.  I am starting to hate the idea of helping the poor to the point that they live in nicer apartments than I ever did while I was going to school.  We kind of agreed that it would be best if they were provided at best a dry room, so the person(s) in need don't die from exposure, but they should be uncomfortable enough that they want to work for a better life.  I will never support backwards thinking, such as removing a woman's right to choose simply because the bible considers it a sin.  I also think we should shut up, if two people (people, not a person and some random animal, Stupid) love each other, who are we to get in their way.  Let them marry and give life a shot.
Anyway, his biggest reason for supporting him is still that he is an outsider and he is already rich.  This seems like nothing to me, but he insists that because of this, he doesn't have to play the game as all politicians do.  He says these fuckers go in broke regular Joes and come out millionaires because they sell themselves to interest groups.  Trump doesn't have to listen to anyone, he is already rich, so he can do whatever he wants.  In theory, that sounds great, but then he puts a delusional humanoid like DeVos in charge of education, and that is just a horrible situation, as her goal is to fund private education by disrupting public education.  Teachers are already overburdened and underpaid.  What will happen if say the religious idiots decide they would rather sing Jesus jingles all day and they took a third of a small town public school's funding and all of a sudden it is being used to fund Bible time?  Public schools may not be able to afford to pay all their teachers and we will have a generation of morons who think you heal through prayer and not medicine.
I got slightly off topic, but that is one of the things to worry about, school has to be funded.  Another big talking point is that ultimately, it doesn't matter if we are left or right.  According to him, they just want to keep us fighting over the tiniest of issues, while they take the money and run.  To that I say, they need term limits, like the president.  They can take a nice long ride through by starting as a representative, two or three terms, a senator, again two or three terms, followed by sitting as President, two terms, then get the fuck out and let someone new come with their own ideas.  While we are at it, why are you all entitled to pensions, getting paid afterwards?  Hardly any of us get that in the real world.  You went into public service to serve, or did you do it to fatten your wallet?
It still surprises me that after 3-4 attempts, with control of Senate, House of Rep., and President, the Republicans only managed to poop their pants and not come up with anything better than Obamacare.  How can any of these a-holes, unless they are not connected to reality, suggest something more expensive and covering less people as better?  You're not providing Rolex watches, or a product exclusive for a select group, you're providing healthcare for everyone.  Their shitty idea might have worked if an operating plan weren't already in place to embarrass them.  This is what makes me think of Trump as inferior, they just say that was the Republicans, Trump had nothing to do with it.  Hmm?  So he is a republican president, unless the republicans fail at something, then he is more of an independent president?  I understand now.
