I swear, right now, with one thing after another, Baby A is worse than my dad with all the doctor visits. This week, for example, we have physical therapy (PT), on Tuesday and Friday at 7:30am-8:30am. We also have a follow-up appointment with the knee specialist on Thursday at 8:30am. He wanted to see him two weeks after the last visit when we got the MRI results back. Now, all of a sudden, he developed a nasty "boil", I am calling it, but the trainer at school called it a staph infection. It looks like a giant pimple without a head to pop.
I was trying to ignore this one, figuring the doctor on Thursday could see it, but both Wife and Mijo are saying he is a bone specialist, he couldn't possibly handle a skin infection. So, it means we get to go back to another doctor. I tried scheduling a visit to the Victory Medical Center out on Westlake, but they had no availability for today (Wednesday), so I fell back on the CVS minute clinic, which I figure handles skin stuff on the daily. I really hesitate to go there because last time I did, the nurse practitioner swore I was on my last legs, she didn't think I was even fit enough to drive myself to the hospital, I was so fat and out of shape. Turns out I have an irregular heartbeat, doctor at the hospital chuckled and sent me home. I literally had my mom crying on the phone, as I was telling her I probably wouldn't make it to the evening. Five years later, I still hesitate to go back.
Anyways, this is not about me, so I will go with Mijo, hopefully, get an ointment to clear this up, and hopefully, we can move this thing along. This boy went all the way up until a few months ago never needing to see any type of doctor, now he spends as much time as my diabetic dad at clinics. The one good thing I can say is that the PT must really be working, he says he is now to just some dull pain when he goes thru football motions like squatting and pushing off his left leg.
The PT did say that after Friday we might be able to stop going, at least take next week off and see where we are at. I say good, those visits are costing $150 each time and they are not covered by Wife's shitty insurance.
