10/1/17 Wife Is Coming Back!

    We can safely say TEA does not move in haste, specially in making employee selections.  Wife began the process oh back in March when she applied online for a group of five positions.  She interviewed sometime in the summer on a random afternoon.  She didn't make much of it because by the time they called what was going to be a gold mine, the position paid about 40% more than she was making but they pulled the salary scale back to less than what she made.  She figured it would be good exercise to interview anyway.  She likes being told what her strengths and weaknesses are when she does them.  Lo and behold, they called her about a month ago now that they were going to offer her a position and at the same pay she was making.  She asked for $5000 more, just to help offset the fact that she was going to lose so many vacation days that she has now, like two weeks in Christmas, week of Spring Break, week of Thanksgiving, two weeks in the summer...
    We had to quickly decide if her working more days was worth a sacrifice to get her back to Austin at the same pay.  After a year of her running back and forth, we have decided it is better to have her here.  She would actually like to continue working with the school district over there as a contractor but the superintendent does not have large scale vision.  He already has another "good ol Boy to replace Wife.  That is the real problem destroying America, positions of power are not vacated by fools who think they have shit to offer.  From the local politics of school boards to senators who serve +30 years.  Get your old wrinkled ass out of there and let some new blood breath fresh ideas.  Instead, we get these visions of President Trump surrounded by the undead, bunch of pale ass 70 year old fucks selfishly trying to benefit themselves past their expiration dates.
Anyways, got off topic, the point is Wife was called again finally after keeping her waiting almost three weeks after she tried asking for a little more money.  She may end up working year round, but guess what?  I've been working year round all my life since graduating from UT in 1994.  I think the longest vacation I have had is the three weeks I was off recovering from surgery on my leg a few months ago.  I am happy she will be here for Halloween, we are always together outside giving candies to whoever comes by and finishing the night with a little BBQ with some friends.  It will bring a sense of normalcy and I think Chubs needs Mamas firm stare to get his ass under control.  He's been trying to get sassy and mama is a lot less tolerant of shenanigans like that so I welcome our boss lady back.
