This seems like another generic Netflix movie, but I am noticing something different. It is like these movies are all Independents. I love that they use totally different casts for nearly everything I watch. It kind of gets old to see the same faces on everything we normally watch. Wife can't seem to understand that, I get bored of some of the shows we watch year in and year out. They are not all great actors.
The movie was an idea we have seen before, it reminded me of the likes of Eurotrip and it went by extra fast, running a short 1.5 hours. Three best friends are going on a camping trip before one of them heads to Germany for their senior year of school. The parents force the sister on one of them, so now two girls are joining the guys. It should just be a silly overnight non-event, get a little drunk, maybe some of them even get laid, but one of the idiots has a butterfly knife and is messing around exactly like you're not supposed to and through the magic of happenstance, we get a sliced appendage and then the movie gets messy and really stupid. They managed to keep it funny, even if it is the one thing men would rather die than lose. Along the way, the other four people who have dated each other or had crushes on each other finally have the time and courage to act like adults and make their moves.
It is hard to just give up the plot to the movie as the laughs are in the scenarios they find themselves in one after the other. Sadly, no boobs are flashed in this one, but there is a ton of penis on screen.
I liked how the guys were totally loyal to each other and willing to go the extra mile for their friend in trouble. I don't think that I could do some of the stuff they did, to save the dangling participle. I got caught short on time on this one, so it will just have to be a short one.
