9/15/16 Can't Keep A Good Wife Away?

    Wife is working three hours away, or is she?  Turns out, she is scheduled for some training at Region 20 this week, which is in San Antonio, and she figured she can sleep up here Wednesday night and at least save an hour driving on the second day.  That sounds nice to see her during the week.  She also has trainings next week in Round Rock as she was made "Head of HR", since the school district did not have a person.  This requires her to be in Round Rock for training next week from Wednesday through Friday, so she will be here almost the full week.  I am especially glad Chubs came up, or it would have been weird for her to go drop him off, come back, then have to go bring him back, and then leave again Sunday.  This way, she'll be in town Wednesday through Sunday next week.  That is getting us closer to October, and she has another thing scheduled to be up here on Halloween and the following day, so we will be able to enjoy Halloween together.  We usually sit outside and enjoy the people coming by (and make sure we don't get egged or other shitty things that can happen), giving out a lot of candy, specially to teenagers, why piss off the ones that can buy a carton of eggs and do damage later at night?
    That visit will put us in November, and she gets a whole week off during Thanksgiving, so that is now not that far away to envision, and that only leaves you a couple weeks away before the big Christmas break.  That will be two weeks of her hanging around with us.  If we can survive half a year, the second half should be easier.  I'm sure she will have more trainings, and there is Easter break, and Spring Break. 
    Luckily for me, my parents found the slowest contractors to re-do their kitchen.  My folks suggested I wait until they were done and had a new kitchen, as right now they are going and eating and prepping dinners at my sister's house.  I thought I was going to go and help move stuff around, but since Chubs didn't stay down there, Wife can just stay in the room she is at.  There is no reason to move her to the bigger room where there will be traffic, since you have to go through that room to get to the washer and dryer.  I don't know if this is a one year thing for Wife, but having Chubs back makes the house seem fuller already.  Wife is getting some tremendous opportunities to learn things and be trained in, such as the HR thing, maybe two years will be better, specially if they give her raises to go along with her new responsibilities.
