I hate to admit it, but I loved watching this show apparently starting eight years ago or something like that. It had a pretty good run of six seasons, considering they weren't doing much but getting drunk and causing self-induced drama, that is pretty good. What was good about the show? The fact that the guys played it straight and were just being guys trying to get laid was very cool. They even managed to bring some girls in even with all the cameras and I'm sure paperwork they had to sign. The girls were harder to enjoy, although they were all attractive girls, they would get drunk and act the fool, almost in every episode. Snooki was probably the breakout star, to me, because she got beat up frequently and yet was never crying "poor me." She was a little spitfire.
In the new episodes, only Sammi is missing, and although she might have been the prettiest of the girls, her and Ron were annoying on camera, because they acted like an old married couple. It was much more fun seeing Ron scamming on girls after they would break up, Sammi would only stay in and cry. Other than that, the rest of the crew is back and although they have had to grow up some, they still seem very familiar. Mike, the Situation, seems a little worse for the wear, as he is struggling and possibly facing jail time over some tax evasion issues which haven't been discussed, but their has been a hesitation for him to go and party. In the episode I saw, the girls went back home to go see their kids and stuff, while the guys stayed and went to go rent some nice cars. Mike was talking about owning a couple of Ferraris and other expensive cars, which he has lost all. Currently, he claims to be driving a car with neither leather nor A/C, cue the sad trombone, waah woh wuhhh.
In their efforts to prank each other, Pauly calls and invites Angelina who was not a regular, but was around a bit. In the old clips she is fighting with everybody, ending on the ground throwing punches with Snooki. I am not sure if she is staying to replace Sammi, but I thought she fit in. The show needs some single gals to chase after guys. Most of them seem involved in real life with real people, so they can't be acting like "hoes."
There was a follow up show, I don't know how I ended up on MTV, I rarely change the channel from HGTV (but I hate those fake ass couples redoing houses). Anyways, Floribama is the same idea but with a Southern charm to it, if southern charm means the girls have less shame and the guys are even more effeminate. I'm sorry, but if a girl jumps in your bed, at least suck her titties before saying "let's just be friends." I didn't know guys twerked, I thought it was a slutty girl thing, and who turns down a girl flashing her titties at you.
Oh well, MTV doesn't stand for Music TeleVision anymore, but the drama still continues, so there is that. We have You Tube for our music video needs.
