Normally, we only look at stuff that interests us, but if you take a minute, there is so much going on in YouTube, you could just get lost. I was not even thinking I cared about Thailand and Bangkok and yet, I have spent about three hours following some guy (the Holistic Trainer) going about his vacation days. The scenery everywhere is just beautiful with huge rocks/pieces of mountains jutting out of lakes and bays, making the views kind of surreal. I don't think I have seen that around the US.
He spent one of his videos staying on a floating hotel, and it was kind of like a huge long boat/series of cabins tied together and then boards in the front to allow people to walk back and forth. There is no electricity, I am guessing this is just a romantic place for couples. At night, the lighting is provided by all these candlelights and the place takes on a magical look, with weird monkeys screaming in the jungle surrounding the river. It must be a pain in the ass to get there, but it just seems so worth it, for a few nights.
The resorts all look comparable to what we have here, but he shows the haggling prices, starting at $200, he claims to get some of the rooms for $15-$30 a night.
This is definitely the type of place you need a partner to enjoy. In some videos he is putzing around alone, and it is fine as informative videos, but in a lot of them he has a local girl he has either befriended, he mentioned she was a receptionist in one of the hotels and they became friends and now it appears even more. She is cute and add a lot to his videos, she translates for him, explains what foods they are eating, where to go, and then she looks good in a bathing suit, almost a little young, but I think that is in the people, they are all so slender and small.
It almost seems like these people come with a small fortune and sit around spending their money. None of the vacationers are doing work, they spend their days drinking, traveling, and enjoying life. I wish to someday live to the point in which I can partake of this lifestyle.
