This one is a little weird but as far as I see it, it seems true. The idiots, n'er do wells and even the shit people are going to slowly overtake us (the ones that strive to succeed), just by sheer numbers alone. Not only do stupid and incompetent people reproduce at a higher volume than the "smart" people, we could say well, leave them to their own devices and eventually we would see the "dumb" crowd having higher death rates just from them taking foolish chances and maybe bringing their gene pool under control. The truth of the matter is that we are all interconnected and even when we label and recognize the troublemakers, there is little to be done about it.
This weekend, we met up with Wife's family and one of them had an extra baby. I slowly thought was she pregnant and I hadn't noticed because she almost has a basketball team in her house? No, it seems for the second time in about five years, they are having to help lighten the load for another family member and putting the terrible burden of care for a relative's baby/kid in their house. I am not even sure where this baby comes from, but it always seems to be the same story, right? You have a big house and the resources to help your cousin/nephew/uncle/whatever as he goes through his addiction to (lame story here), so why don't you do the right thing? God will almost surely thank you for it.
Luckily for them, they are financially strong and can take on the burden of a kid and not lose a step. I am honestly happy for them and I guess glad for the child that they are who they are and are willing to do what they do. On the other hand, the shit parents of said child get to go on being the shit people they have always been, if they choose, or if they want to, they could get their collective heads out of their asses and do the right thing. There really is no punishment for the assholes that irresponsibly bring life into this world, only to mistreat it. The really horrible part is that we "good parents/people think these scumbags think like us, that they will feel for the child, that they want what is best for the child. Nope! If that was the case, the state wouldn't be trying to put the kid in foster care or whatever.
The older kid they took care of, was pretty much the same story. It is really shitty to see this, at least in the first case, the father was suitable to take parental ownership, even if most people think a child should be with their mother.
