I might be reading too much into things, but I asked Wife what we had in store for this weekend and she had said nothing. Throw in the surprising cold front that showed up out of nowhere and we have a weekend in which I did nothing but sleep. Should I feel bad for being lazy? We spent last weekend at my folks, I'd say I deserve a few days to decompress.
Another thing to consider is that we are trying to get off the use of credit cards, so last week there was extra expenses with chocolate candies all around for Easter, going to my mom's, eating with our in-Law's for their 49th anniversary Friday night. We cannot repeat the effort week in and week out. We had fun last weekend, we should be able to be quiet this weekend.
We still went to the movies Saturday night, it's not like we didn't do anything. Ready Player One was a good movie too, it had everything you look for in a summer blockbuster, even if it is only the start of Spring. We should consider ourselves lucky with some states still under snow this late in the winter, coming into Spring. Javalina said that was one of the effects of global warming, and if I had more energy I would say Yes, my 7th grader understands global warming better than the stupid global warming deniers we have to listen to on Fox and shit.
When we got home last night from the movies, I of course, had to write my blog which was easy because I had the movie to write about, this took me close to 2:00am. I then went upstairs and Wife was still awake so we watched a show and we had two baskets of clothing, so I figured I have more energy, I am the nightshifter, I'll put it away. I did. separating into all our separate pile's plus towels. I was going to iron but decided it was 4:00am by the time I was done, it could wait.
Wife was long asleep as well as the boys, so I stayed up a little later watching YouTube videos and YouPorn for a bit. I finally turned off the laptop at 6:00am and slept until 12:30pm, which is when Wife was getting up. Her only reason for wanting to leave the house was to go get a non-dairy cake for a coworker, which is fine, we live in an awesome city with stuff like that, but relax, the place is open until 10:00pm, and it is only 1:00pm. We had lunch as a family at Bill Miller which was nice and even sat there and talked for what felt like an hour after we ate.
This was followed by more napping and pooping, then we finally made it to Whole Foods downtown, I even drove to show Wife I could do it without getting sleepy. We ended the evening by eating at Rosa's Tortilla Factory down the street. It is not the best, but we ate enough pizza, burgers, and chicken, we needed something a little different and Mexican fit the bill.
At least I have rested plenty, it is 2:30am and I am headed to bed, well, maybe a little porn, but I will sleep all day before I work Monday night.
