1/28/18 Too Many All-You-Can-Eat Attempts?

    I don't usually dig the buffet places but today we ended up at two places with no limits on eating.  The first was in the morning, Javalina had a band event at Applebee's. They are going to Schlitterbahn sometime in the spring and this was a breakfast buffet, all you can eat pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage.  The whole deal was for $10 a person, not bad if you like to hog down.  Our boy did not even want to go, he was sure he was going to be volunteered for waiter services.
    He was not called to help, so we were able to eat like a family, even Boy joined us.  The cost was a little steep at $10 a head, we paid $40 at the door.  They had a bunch of volunteers, one to serve the bacon, one to serve the sausage, one to bring water, one to bring coffee, one to bring orange juice, it was almost distracting so many kids I had to swim through to get to the food.
    It was the nicest day for napping and lounging so we came back home and did just that.  Javalina is reading 12 Years A Slave in school, so he sat with Wife to watch it while I took a nap from about 11:00am to 1:30 or so.  He kept trying to escape since today is his relaxing day, but Wife would not let him.  Eventually, it ended and Wife napped for about an hour.  We both got up around 4:00pm and got ready to go eat Salt Lick which we had talked about doing the night before.  We usually get there late, but we were early and it was not super crowded like it usually is, so we waited only about 25minutes.  Actually, Javalina said we checked in at 6:05pm and they called us right at 6:30pm.  We ate almost three full plates of their delicious buffet before slowing down.  We were able to get a fourth plate brought out to us, but we brought all that home, and some from the third round as we just spread the meat on our plates to get the girl to bring us more meat.
    We got out of there by 7:30pm and Wife suggested going to Central Market for a little dessert, which I never would say no to even if I was sleepy.  I slept from one place to the other, but got up and got some nice coffee bread and Wife got cupcakes for all of us.  Javalina was good, only grabbing a lame candy, which he got only because last time he whipped me good on the shoulder and was planning on doing it again.
    We made a final stop at CVS so Wife could buy some nail clippers for the big boy to cut his nails.  We were home around 10:00pm and went right on back to doing what we do best, nothing.
